I’ve been using both essential oils and scented candles for many years, which is why combining the two in this passion project has been so much fun.

Lit is a unique start-up with great potential using 100% natural products and the healing power of essential oils. The focus is on the wellness-conscious audience (primarily female), who love to use high-quality natural products and are keen to create a nourishing home environment. Their age range is 30–50, and they are mostly working professionals seeking uncomplicated yet rewarding ways to relax after work.

As always, the foundation was to work out the general direction of the brand and its target audience. Once these were in place, the design came naturally.

The happy but muted colours reflect the relaxing, good-feeling mood of the brand. The logotype was created by manipulating an already beautiful serif font and changing the dot of the letter ‘i’ into a flame shape at the end. The elegant slab serif was the perfect combination for the bold logotype.

I kept the general mood minimalist and straightforward, maintaining the pure approach of the brand. Lastly, I’ve created a brand pattern that is delicate and clean, quietly complementing the colourful elements of the packaging.
