Art for Youth London is a UK-based art charity established in 1987 by Diana Brooks MBE as a platform for emerging artists and a fundraising exhibition. It sits under the umbrella of UK Youth, a leading UK charity providing a variety of support for young people in Great Britain. In its 33rd year, this annual art exhibition has raised over £1.3 million, enabling UK Youth to support a network of 7,000 youth organisations and national partners, collectively reaching 4.1 million young people, many of whom live in deprived areas facing personal barriers. This year's online exhibition gives over 100 contemporary emerging and established artists the opportunity to showcase their work. Purchasing a work of art or making a donation will support artists and young people at a time when they need it the most.

When Art for Youth London got in touch with me, they had a website that didn't reflect their history and the level of impact. Using Squarespace as their new platform, my job was to re-design their site altogether. The purpose was to make it clear, impactful and visually appealing. They also wished to move away from their current email newsletter provider and needed a template integrated within Squarespace. As we progressed, they also decided to update their primary logo and submark.

After the initial consultation to help me understand their goals, we worked out each page's intention and moved on to the creative side of the project. I created a prototype in Adobe XD and kept refining it until we were ready to start building the live site. 

Part of this web design was also a domain transfer, creating a subdomain & connecting it to their Shopify shop, and redirecting old links to the new website. Overall, the new site was a great success, raising over £50,000 with their online exhibition sale during their launch. It was a privilege to work with this charity, and I look forward to watching them grow over the upcoming years.
